In addition, the West Haven Police Department has started an anonymous tip-texting service.  The interface allows individuals to anonymously text message tips into the WHPD as well as submit anonymous tips over the web and through Facebook. 

The tip service is not intended to replace 911 or the non-emergency line.  Emergency calls should still be placed by calling 911 and non-emergency related calls should be directed to 203-937-3900.  This submit-a-tip service is designed solely for individuals to assist the WHPD in providing anonymous tips about information they may have regarding criminal activity.

You can now submit your tips in three ways:

1)  By cell phone:  You can anonymously text your tips by texting the word WHPD and your tip to 847411. (standard text messaging rates apply)

2)  On Facebook:  You can also submit a tip by visiting our Facebook site and clicking the "Submit a Tip" link on the left hand side of the page

3)  Online:  You can submit a tip by clicking the below link:

All tips are confidential and 100% anonymous.
