The WHPD is investigating a robbery which occured on 1/23/09 at 9:10 pm
at 202 Main St. The female victim was entering the apartment complex when
she was approached by a Hispanic male. The male approached the female
victim from behind in the stairway and demanded her pocketbook. After
he took her pocketbook, which was around the victim's shoulder and neck, he
fled on foot.
He was last seen exiting the apartment complex and fled South on Union
Avenue.
Approximately $1000 in cash was stolen along with personal
identification.
The male is described as being 5'10" with a thin build.
He is in his late teen's or early 20's.
He was last seen wearing a black/white knit hat, black nylon jacket and blue
jeans.
He displayed a small silver automatic handgun.
